A Danish ensemble where music, machines and fire collide. Robots play the bass, the keys and the drums. Humans play the wind, the springs and the gloves. The machine breathes flames.

The Machine

A steampunk orchestra on wheels

Every instrument is handmade and full of surprises. There are robotic basslines that glide like clockwork, a keyboard that plays itself, drums hit by machines, and a wind instrument that plays chords. They are wired together with custom electronics and code so they respond to motion, touch and sound in real time.

A kalimba reimagined with sensors and real-time sound processing.
